BRIDGE of Manilop ES

Building Remarkable Individual Development for Global Education (BRIDGE) becomes official name for the publication or school organ of Manilop Elementary School headed by TIC, Kauzar I. Jawang. The TIC chose BRIDGE to signify the school's connection as far as West Virginia, the homeland of Prof. Albert M. Santoli, the President of Asia America Initiative, an international NGO launched educational program in Sulu particularly Kasambuhan Village Elementary School since 2012. Eventually, AAI educational program began evolving in the entire 18 schools of Indanan South District, Indanan, Sulu during the reign of Public Schools District Supervisor, Samoore S. Ladjahli under the active facilitation of ISD AAI Coordinator, Sharifa Mharrojheanne A. Alih, Teacher I of Poblacion Elementary School and also ISD ICT Coordinator.

In 2016, Manilop Elementary School came up with the construction of Kindergarten classroom in a sub-standard form funded by Prof. Albert M. Santoli thru the strong recommendation of Sharifa. In the same year, School Mass Feeding Program for the entire grade levels also came to life for the very first time in the history of Manilop Elementary School. ISD and AAI formulated the so-called MOBE (Model Of Bawgbug Education) conceptualized in 4 Ps (Planning, Prayer, Passion and Patience). In the advent of MOBE, Manilop learned BAWGBUG (Baran Alta' Waktu Gastu Baktulan Usaha Gaus) by establishing 50-50 partnership with AAI in the implementation of School Mass Feeding Program. The entire stakeholders of the school individually engaged in a newly-modeled approach where teachers, parents, community members and barangay local government unit officials sincerely gave financial counterpart in every program and project implemented in the school in partnership with Prof. Albert M. Santoli.

Before, Manilop was connected by AAI only in terms of books distribution which is the usual delivery or assistance shipped from America to Sulu State College and sometime directly sent to Indanan South District Office where AAI School Coordinators sort the books for the 18 schools of the district. The TIC of Manilop has been chosen as AAI School Coordinator by Sharifa with the approval of the AAI President and the PSDS. The AAI books were so inviting for the students to read because of its beautiful cover full of graphics inside. Later, AAI extended its programs with health, hygiene, sanitation and gardening in partnership with DepED program, Gulayan sa Paaralan.

BRIDGE is visible in Manilop Elementary School due to the intervention of Asia America Intitiative. Thus, Manilop is so grateful with Prof. Albert M. Santoli for giving more programs in the school especially the recent construction of school shack for Grade 5 and 6 this year 2017.
